Eric’s adventure takes you on a sail from his home port in Patchogue to the Baltic.
He sailed down east through the Cape Cod Canal to Newfoundland where he made his Atlantic crossing. His first stop was Scotland there he cruised the Western Islands before transiting the Caledonian Canal to the North Sea. Once across the North Sea he entered the Limforden canal into the Baltic where he visited various ports. His return journey home included a stop in Falmouth England, across the Bay of Biscay, where his boat was badly damaged due to heavy weather. After repairs were made in Portugal he crossed the Atlantic to cruise in the Caribbean. He sailed back to LI via Bermuda.
During the cruise he had 17 crew members and guests sharing parts of the experience.
Eric has cruised the Maine coast many times and would like to share with you his favorite cruising areas.
